Nationalism
Nationalism, in political philosophy, is a belief where a group of people with shared history, culture, language or ethnic origin assert their right to self-determination. It involves a strong identification of a group towards its nation, often leading to the desire for its own sovereignty and independence. Nationalists believe in promoting their nation's interests, autonomy, and often put those interests above those of other nations. It can foster unity, pride, and support for common goals within a nation, but may also cause tension and conflict with other nations or groups.
