
Namık Kemal
Namık Kemal (1840-1888) was a prominent Turkish writer, journalist, and political activist known for his role in the modernization of Turkey during the late Ottoman Empire. He advocated for freedom, democracy, and social reforms through his plays, novels, and articles. His most famous work, "İntibah" (Awakening), is considered one of the first modern Turkish novels.
