Nationalism and Imperialism

Nationalism is a belief that emphasizes pride in and loyalty to one’s nation, often prioritizing national interests and culture above others. It can unite people but also lead to conflicts with different nations. Imperialism, on the other hand, involves a country extending its power and influence over other nations or territories, often through colonization or military force. While nationalism fosters a strong identity and unity within a nation, imperialism can exploit that identity to justify expansion and domination over others, often leading to cultural suppression and conflict. Both concepts have shaped global history significantly.
