Sabino Arana Goiri (1865-1903) was a Basque nationalist politician and writer, often regarded as the founder of Basque nationalism. Arana advocated for greater autonomy for the Basque Country and emphasized the importance of a unique Basque identity, which he referred to as "Euskadi."
