Theodore Herzl

Theodore Herzl was a Jewish journalist and political activist in the late 19th century who is considered the father of modern Zionism, a movement advocating for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. In the context of nationalism, Herzl's work emerged as a response to rising anti-Semitism in Europe, promoting the idea that Jews should have their own nation where they could live freely and safely.
