Triple Entente

The Triple Entente was a political and military alliance formed before World War I, consisting of three major powers: France, Russia, and the United Kingdom. Established in the early 20th century, it was a response to the growing threat of the Central Powers, particularly Germany and Austria-Hungary. The Entente sought to maintain a balance of power in Europe and promote mutual support in case of conflict. When World War I broke out in 1914, the alliance played a crucial role in mobilizing troops and coordinating strategies among the member nations against their adversaries.
