M.S. Golwalkar
M.S. Golwalkar (1906-1973) was an influential Indian nationalist and a key figure in the Hindu nationalist movement. As the second chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he played a significant role in shaping its ideology. Golwalkar emphasized the idea of a Hindu Rashtra (Hindu Nation) and promoted cultural nationalism as a means to unite Hindus. His writings, particularly "We, or Our Nationhood Defined," discussed the importance of Hindu identity in India. While admired by supporters for his vision of national unity, his views have also sparked criticism for their exclusivist nature regarding religious and cultural identities.
