Ghadar Movement
The Ghadar Movement was an early 20th-century political campaign led by Indian immigrants, particularly in North America, aimed at ending British rule in India. Established in 1913 by the Ghadar Party, its members sought to incite a revolution by promoting nationalism and organizing armed uprisings. They believed that by stirring discontent within India, they could spark a mass rebellion against British authorities. The movement gained momentum during World War I but ultimately had limited success. However, it played a significant role in inspiring future generations of Indian freedom fighters striving for independence.
