Jewish Defense League

The Jewish Defense League (JDL) is a right-wing Jewish organization founded in 1968 in the United States. It was established to advocate for Jewish self-defense and combat anti-Semitism, particularly in the wake of rising tensions surrounding Jewish issues. While it originally focused on protecting Jewish communities, the JDL has been controversial due to its militant tactics and confrontational approach, sometimes leading to violent actions. Over the years, it has been classified by some as a radical organization. Today, it still exists but has a relatively limited presence compared to its earlier prominence.
