Albert Bandura

Albert Bandura was a psychologist known for his work in social learning theory, which emphasizes that people learn behaviors by observing others. Unlike traditional behaviorism, which focuses on direct rewards and punishments, Bandura proposed that social influences, imitation, and modeling also shape behavior. His famous "Bobo doll" experiment showed that children could learn aggressive behaviors by watching adults act aggressively. Bandura introduced the concept of self-efficacy, which is the belief in one’s ability to succeed, highlighting that our thoughts and perceptions significantly impact our actions and development.
