The Paleo diet, often called the "caveman diet," is based on the idea of eating like our ancestors from the Paleolithic era. It emphasizes whole foods that could have been hunted or gathered, such as lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Processed foods, grains, dairy, and added sugars are typically excluded. Proponents believe that this diet can lead to better health by promoting natural eating habits.
