Norman Borlaug

Norman Borlaug was an American agronomist and humanitarian known as the "father of the Green Revolution." Born in 1914, he developed high-yielding varieties of wheat and introduced modern farming techniques, significantly increasing food production in developing countries, particularly Mexico and India, during the 20th century. His work helped avert famines and is credited with saving millions from hunger. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970.
