Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a technology using sound waves higher in pitch than humans can hear to create images or aid in medical procedures. In medical imaging, it works like sonar: a device sends sound into the body, which bounces back from structures inside, forming an image on a screen. It's a safe, non-invasive process often used for viewing organs, blood flow, or developing babies during pregnancy. For therapeutic uses, focused sound waves can treat certain medical conditions, like kidney stones, by breaking them down.
