Reactive nonstress test

A Reactive Nonstress Test (NST) is a simple procedure used during pregnancy to monitor a baby's heart rate and overall well-being. In this test, a healthcare provider uses special monitors on the mother’s abdomen to check how the baby's heart rate responds to movements. An increase in the baby’s heart rate during activity indicates good health and reaction to stimuli. The test usually lasts about 20 to 40 minutes and helps ensure that the baby is getting enough oxygen and is thriving in the womb. It’s a common way to assess fetal health, especially in later stages of pregnancy.
