Nebuchadnezzar II

Nebuchadnezzar II was a prominent king of the ancient Babylonian Empire, ruling from around 605 to 562 BCE. He is best known for his military conquests, particularly the capture of Jerusalem and the subsequent Babylonian Exile of the Jewish people. He oversaw impressive architectural projects, including the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. His reign marked a period of great cultural and economic prosperity, but he is also remembered for his ambitious nature and the brutality of his conquests as he expanded Babylon's influence across the ancient Near East.
