Marduk

Marduk is a prominent deity in ancient Mesopotamian mythology, specifically within Babylonian culture. He is often regarded as the god of wisdom, magic, and water, and serves as a protector of the city of Babylon. Marduk is best known for his role in the Enuma Elish, the Babylonian creation epic, where he defeats the chaos monster Tiamat and creates the world from her body. As a result, he becomes the chief god in the Babylonian pantheon, symbolizing order and justice, and was worshipped as a central figure in religious practices throughout the ancient Near East.
