Babylon (ancient city)

Babylon was an ancient city located in present-day Iraq, known for its impressive architecture and rich culture. Founded around 2300 BCE, it became a major center of civilization in Mesopotamia. Babylon is famous for the Hanging Gardens, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the massive ziggurat known as the Tower of Babel. It was a hub of trade and learning, with considerable advancements in mathematics and astronomy.
