Tang Dynasty

The Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) was a period of great cultural, political, and economic prosperity in ancient China. Often regarded as a golden age, it saw advancements in art, literature, and technology, with renowned poets like Li Bai and Du Fu emerging. The dynasty expanded China’s influence through trade along the Silk Road and by establishing a strong central government. Innovations such as woodblock printing and improvements in agriculture helped support a growing population. The Tang also embraced a diverse society, welcoming foreign cultures, which enriched Chinese civilization. Its decline eventually led to the fragmentation of China into smaller states.
