Li Yu was a Chinese poet and ruler during the Southern Tang dynasty, known for his lyrical poetry that often expressed themes of love, loss, and the beauty of nature. He became the last emperor of the Southern Tang and notably faced political challenges and eventual defeat by the Song dynasty.
