Li Yuan (Emperor Gaozu)

Li Yuan, known as Emperor Gaozu, was the founder of the Tang Dynasty in China, ruling from 618 to 626 AD. Originally a general and a member of the Sui Dynasty, he led a successful rebellion against the Sui's harsh rule.
