Proprioception

Proprioception is the body’s ability to sense its position and movement in space. It's an essential sense that helps you know where your limbs are without looking at them. For example, when you close your eyes and touch your nose, proprioception guides your hand’s movement. This sense relies on specialized receptors in muscles, tendons, and joints, which send information to the brain. Proprioception plays a crucial role in coordination, balance, and overall body awareness, allowing us to perform everyday tasks, engage in sports, and maintain stability while moving.
