Sunni

Sunni refers to the largest branch of Islam, comprising about 85-90% of Muslims worldwide. Sunnis believe in following the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad as recorded in the Hadith, as well as the Quran. They emphasize the role of the community in interpreting Islamic teachings and generally accept the first four caliphs as rightful leaders after Muhammad's death. Sunni Islam encompasses a variety of schools of thought and practices, which can differ regionally, but it is unified by core beliefs around the oneness of God and the importance of following the Prophet’s example.
