Maliki

Maliki refers to a major school of thought within Sunni Islamic jurisprudence, named after the 8th-century scholar Malik ibn Anas. It emphasizes the importance of the practices of the people of Medina in interpreting Islamic law, viewing them as a model for appropriate behavior. The Maliki school is known for its flexibility and practicality, allowing local customs to influence legal rulings. It is one of four main Sunni legal schools, alongside Hanafi, Shafi'i, and Hanbali, and is predominantly followed in North Africa and parts of West Africa.
