Hanbali
The Hanbali school is one of the four main branches of Islamic jurisprudence, or fiqh, within Sunni Islam. Founded by Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal in the 9th century, it emphasizes strict adherence to the Quran and Hadith (the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad) as primary sources of law. Hanbali jurisprudence is known for its conservative stance and limited reliance on personal reasoning (ijtihad) and consensus (ijma). It is primarily practiced in Saudi Arabia and has influenced aspects of Islamic law and governance in that region.
