Sunni theology

Sunni theology is the branch of Islam that emphasizes the importance of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and the consensus of the Muslim community (ummah) in understanding faith and practice. Sunni Muslims believe in one God (Allah), the prophets, angels, divine scriptures, and the afterlife. They follow the teachings of the Quran and the Hadith (sayings of the Prophet). Theological perspectives aim to balance faith with reason, focusing on God's mercy and justice. Sunni Islam is the largest denomination worldwide, and its theology encourages community unity and adherence to established traditions while allowing some interpretative flexibility.
