Dar al-Islam
Dar al-Islam, meaning "the House of Islam," refers to regions and countries where Islamic law (Sharia) is the dominant legal and cultural framework, and where Muslims can live freely and practice their faith. It contrasts with Dar al-Harb, or "the House of War," which denotes areas where Islam is not the mainstream religion or where Muslims may face restrictions. The concept helps illustrate historical and contemporary relationships between Islamic and non-Islamic societies, emphasizing the boundaries of Islamic governance and community.
