Ho Chi Minh was a Vietnamese revolutionary leader born in 1890, best known for his role in the struggle for Vietnam's independence from colonial rule. He founded the Viet Minh, which fought against French colonial forces and later led North Vietnam during the Vietnam War against South Vietnam and its American allies.
