the Vietnamese National Front
The Vietnamese National Front, officially known as the Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam (NLF), was a political organization formed in the 1960s aimed at gaining independence for Vietnam from foreign influence and unifying the country. It included various groups opposed to the U.S.-backed South Vietnamese government. The NLF was closely associated with the communist government of North Vietnam and played a significant role during the Vietnam War, advocating for the rights of the Vietnamese people and promoting resistance against colonial and imperial forces. It eventually contributed to the fall of Saigon in 1975.
