Bao Dai
Bao Dai was the last emperor of Vietnam, reigning from 1926 to 1945. He was part of the Nguyen dynasty, which had ruled for centuries, but his power was limited by French colonial authorities. During his reign, Vietnam was under French control, and he was largely a figurehead. After World War II, Vietnam sought independence, leading to the end of his imperial role. Bao Dai later became a political leader and briefly served as the head of state of South Vietnam in the 1950s. His rule reflects Vietnam's complex history of colonial influence, struggle for independence, and political change.
