National Liberation Front
The National Liberation Front (NLF) is a political and military organization that emerged during the Vietnam War, primarily opposing the South Vietnamese government and the U.S. military presence in Vietnam. Founded in 1960, the NLF sought to unify Vietnam under communist rule, promoting nationalist and anti-colonial sentiments. It is often associated with the Viet Cong, guerrilla fighters who aided North Vietnam. The NLF played a significant role in the conflict, contributing to the eventual withdrawal of U.S. forces and the reunification of Vietnam under communist control in 1975.
