North Vietnam

North Vietnam, officially known as the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, was a socialist state that existed from 1945 until 1976. It was led by the Communist Party, with Ho Chi Minh as a prominent figure. During the Vietnam War (1955-1975), North Vietnam fought against South Vietnam and its allies, particularly the United States, to unify the country under communist rule. The conflict had significant social and political implications, resulting in extensive loss of life and lasting effects on the region. In 1976, after the war ended, North and South Vietnam were reunified as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
