Paris Peace Accords

The Paris Peace Accords were agreements signed in 1973 intended to end the Vietnam War. They established terms for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Vietnam and aimed to restore peace in the region. The Accords called for a ceasefire, the release of prisoners of war, and a political process to determine Vietnam's future. While they temporarily reduced U.S. involvement, fighting continued until the fall of Saigon in 1975, leading to Vietnam's reunification under communist control. The Accords remain significant for their impact on U.S. foreign policy and Vietnam's history.
