North Vietnamese Army
The North Vietnamese Army (NVA), officially known as the People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN), was the military force of North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Established in the 1950s, it played a crucial role in fighting against South Vietnam and U.S. forces from the 1960s to 1975. The NVA was known for its disciplined structure, guerilla tactics, and conventional warfare strategies, contributing significantly to North Vietnam's ultimate victory. Its goal was to unify Vietnam under communist rule, which was achieved after the fall of Saigon in 1975. The NVA's legacy is still significant in Vietnam's history today.
