
Franklin D. Roosevelt
Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) was the 32nd President of the United States, serving from 1933 to 1945. He led the nation during the Great Depression, implementing the New Deal, a series of programs aimed at economic recovery and social reform. FDR was also President during World War II, working to unify the Allies against the Axis powers. He is known for his charismatic leadership and ability to communicate with the public through "fireside chats." Roosevelt was elected to four terms, the only U.S. president to serve more than two, before passing away in office in 1945.
