Lend-Lease Program
The Lend-Lease Program was a U.S. initiative during World War II, established in 1941, that allowed the U.S. to supply its allies, primarily the United Kingdom and later the Soviet Union, with military equipment, food, and other materials. Instead of directly selling these goods, the U.S. provided them on a loan basis, allowing allies to use what they needed to fight against the Axis powers. In return, the allies agreed to provide support or resources as needed. This program significantly strengthened the military capabilities of the Allies and helped ensure their success in the war.
