The "Arsenal of Democracy" was a phrase used by President Franklin D. Roosevelt during World War II to describe the United States’ role in supplying military aid and weapons to Allied nations fighting against the Axis powers. It emphasized America's industrial strength and capacity to produce vast amounts of war materials, such as tanks, airplanes, and guns, supporting democracy and defeating tyranny without necessarily engaging in direct combat initially.
