National Recovery Administration Codes
The National Recovery Administration (NRA) was created in the 1930s as part of the New Deal to help the U.S. recover from the Great Depression. It established codes of fair competition that set standards for wages, working hours, and prices in various industries. The goal was to promote economic stability, improve labor conditions, and support consumer spending. These codes aimed to help businesses stay afloat while ensuring fair treatment for workers. Although the NRA was eventually declared unconstitutional in 1935, its efforts laid the groundwork for future labor rights and economic regulations.
