The United States Government
The United States Government is a federal system divided into three branches: the Executive, headed by the President; the Legislative, which comprises Congress (the Senate and House of Representatives); and the Judicial, led by the Supreme Court. This system is designed to ensure checks and balances, preventing any branch from becoming too powerful. The government creates and enforces laws, manages foreign relations, and directs economic policy, with the aim of serving the public interest and upholding the Constitution, which establishes fundamental rights and principles of governance. Local and state governments operate under this federal framework.
