Bacteria

Bacteria are microscopic single-celled organisms found almost everywhere on Earth, including in soil, water, and even inside our bodies. They come in various shapes and can be beneficial or harmful. Beneficial bacteria aid in processes like digestion and nutrient cycling, while harmful ones can cause diseases. Bacteria reproduce quickly through a process called binary fission, where one cell divides into two. Though often associated with illness, most bacteria play essential roles in ecosystems and human health, making them crucial to our understanding of life on Earth.
