Mujahideen
Mujahideen refers to individuals or groups who engage in a struggle, typically against perceived oppression, often focused on defending Islam or resisting foreign influence. The term originated in the context of the Afghan resistance during the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s, where fighters opposed Soviet forces with Islamic motivations. The concept has since been used in various contexts globally, including in conflicts where groups adopt armed struggle to pursue political or religious goals. While some Mujahideen are viewed as freedom fighters, others are associated with extremist agendas, leading to complex perceptions and reactions from different audiences.
