Ivan Pavlov

Ivan Pavlov was a Russian physiologist best known for his work in classical conditioning, a key concept in behaviorism. He conducted experiments with dogs, discovering that they could learn to associate a neutral stimulus, like a bell, with food. Over time, the dogs began to salivate merely at the sound of the bell, even without food present. This demonstrated that behaviors can be learned through associations. Pavlov's research laid the foundation for understanding how environmental factors influence behavior, and it has had a significant impact on psychology, education, and behavioral therapies.
