Relational Conditioning
Relational conditioning is a learning process where associations are formed between different stimuli or concepts based on their relationships rather than direct experiences. For example, if you learn that a thunderstorm (stimulus A) often appears after you see dark clouds (stimulus B), you start to anticipate rain when you see those clouds. This type of conditioning helps us make connections and predictions about our environment, enhancing our understanding of complex information. Essentially, it’s how we learn to relate various pieces of knowledge to each other, improving our ability to navigate the world.
