Otolaryngology
Otolaryngology, also known as ENT (ear, nose, and throat), is a branch of medicine that focuses on diagnosing and treating disorders related to the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. Otolaryngologists, or ENT specialists, handle various issues such as hearing loss, sinus infections, allergies, voice conditions, and even some cancers. They perform surgeries when necessary, like tonsillectomies or ear tube placements, and also manage conditions affecting the balance and sense of smell. Essentially, they help maintain and restore health in areas critical for communication, breathing, and overall well-being.
