Audiogram
An audiogram is a visual representation of a person's hearing ability. It displays the results of a hearing test, showing the softest sounds a person can hear at various frequencies, measured in hertz (Hz). The chart typically has frequency on the horizontal axis and hearing sensitivity, in decibels (dB), on the vertical axis. Different symbols represent the hearing threshold for each ear. By analyzing an audiogram, audiologists can identify hearing loss, determine its type (conductive or sensorineural), and recommend appropriate treatments or hearing aids if needed.
