Lunar Module
A Lunar Module was a specialized spacecraft used during the Apollo missions to land astronauts on the Moon. It had two main parts: a descent stage for landing and a crew cabin for astronauts during the lunar surface operations, and an ascent stage to return them to orbit. Designed to operate in the vacuum of space and the Moon’s low gravity, it provided life support, navigation, and propulsion. The Lunar Module was built specifically for lunar exploration, enabling astronauts to safely land, explore, and return to the orbiting command module.
