Eagle was the name of the Lunar Module used during NASA's Apollo 11 mission, which landed the first humans on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Designed to transport astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin from the Command Module orbiting the Moon to the lunar surface, Eagle was equipped with landing gear, life support systems, and scientific instruments.
