Gulf War

The Gulf War, which occurred from 1990 to 1991, was a conflict in which a coalition of countries led by the United States fought against Iraq after it invaded Kuwait. The U.S. aimed to liberate Kuwait and maintain stability in the region, as Iraq, under President Saddam Hussein, posed a threat to oil supply and regional security. The war began with a massive air campaign followed by a ground offensive. It ended quickly, with coalition forces successfully pushing Iraqi troops out of Kuwait. This conflict shaped U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and highlighted tensions in global oil markets.
