George H.W. Bush, often referred to as George Bush Senior, was the 41st President of the United States, serving from 1989 to 1993. Before his presidency, he held several important positions, including Vice President under Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1989, and he was also a congressman, U.N. ambassador, and head of the CIA. His presidency is noted for foreign policy achievements, such as the Gulf War to liberate Kuwait from Iraq. He advocated for a "New World Order" amid the Cold War's end. Bush's post-presidency years included humanitarian work and a friendship with Bill Clinton.
