FIFA

FIFA, or the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, is the international governing body for football (soccer). Founded in 1904, it oversees the organization and promotion of major tournaments, most notably the FIFA World Cup, held every four years. FIFA sets the rules of the game, ensures fair play, and works to develop football globally. It has 211 member associations, making it one of the largest sports organizations worldwide. FIFA also manages relationships with continental confederations, governs competitions, and promotes the sport at all levels, from grassroots to professional leagues.
