The Ballon d'Or

The Ballon d'Or is an annual award given to the best male football (soccer) player in the world. Established in 1956, it is organized by the French magazine "France Football." Winners are chosen based on votes from international journalists, who assess players' performances over the past year, including achievements, skills, and contributions to their teams. The award has evolved over the years and, from 2010 to 2015, combined with FIFA's World Player of the Year award. It remains one of the most prestigious individual honors in football, celebrated for recognizing extraordinary talent in the sport.
